Congratulations to Ellen Mullins who earned her third SEC Defensive Player of the Week award of the season and the seventh of her career. Her most recent achievements according to the conference release: moved into the SEC’s top-10 all-time career digs chart on Friday with a 14-dig performance vs. Auburn; had 31 scoops in a four-setter against Georgia, marking her sixth match this season with 30 or more digs; averaged 6.43 digs per set and recorded no reception errors over the weekend.
Mullins is tied with Kelsey Robinson for the second most career weekly conference honors by a Lady Vol. Nikki Fowler holds the record with eleven. She has the fifth most in SEC history. Florida’s Elyse Cusack had fifteen.
