The first poll of the season has been released, and Tennessee makes an appearance. The Lady Vols are receiving votes in the AVCA Coaches Poll. Counting out the rankings past 25, Tennessee is an unofficial #35.

UT has a tough schedule ahead. They face five of the top ten teams in the country (#3 Kentucky, #6 Florida, #8 Purdue, #9 Pittsburgh, and #10 Baylor).

Other SEC teams receiving votes: Missouri, LSU, and Arkansas. Future SEC member Texas is #1.
