Before today they’d only done it six times in the 2000s, and seventeen times in school history. The last time they did it vs Georgia was 2012. More tonight!
UPDATE: Tessa Grubbs had a match leading and career high 27 kills. Erica Treiber had 16 kills and hit .520. Lily Felts had 13 kills. Addisyn Rowe’s 8 blocks were the most by any player on the court. Alyssa Andreno had 6. Sedona Hansen put up 36 assists. Callie Williams had 17. Brooke Schumacher dug up 24 balls. Felts completed her third double-double with 10 digs.
The Lady Vols’ 71 kills were their most in a match this season, and the 3rd most in a match since 2012.
Tennessee’s 2 wins this week bring their conference total to 9 so far this year — surpassing their best total of the previous five seasons.
