2016 Match Notes: Mississippi State and Georgia
  • UT is 43-10 all-time vs Mississippi State, and 7-3 in their last ten meetings.
  • UT is 44-27 all-time vs Georgia, and 6-4 in their last ten meetings.
  • Since 1978, the Vols are 18-20 in SEC openers — 9-10 under coach Rob Patrick and 9-10 in the years before his arrival.
  • The Bulldogs from Starkville started their season 8-6. The Bulldogs of Athens started the season 12-1 before losing their SEC opener on Wednesday to Kentucky.
  • Georgia moved into the PrepVolleyball Top 50 Rankings this week at #50.
