Tennessee defeated ULM in three sets this afternoon, moving their record to 2-0 as they head into the final match of the Tennessee Volleyball Classic (25-21, 25-12, 25-16). Bri Holmes and Alyssa Andreno led the team in kills with 11 on 15 attacks each. Holmes did so with no errors for an outstanding career high .733 hitting percentage, while Andreno only had 1 error for .667. Kendra Turner also hit a career high with .462 on 6 kills and no errors. Andreno contributed 4 blocks and Raina Hembry and Mackenzie Cooler added in 3 more apiece. Cooler led the squad with 21 assists. Brooke Schumacher had 12 digs. Last year’s team leader in aces, Kelsey Bawcombe put down a career high matching 5 aces vs the Warhawks.
UT only had 5 hitting errors the entire afternoon, the third fewest in a match in the rally scoring era. Their .447 team hitting percentage was the 6th best in a match since 2001 as well.
13 players took to the court for the Vols, but not the same 13 from yesterday. 5 players saw action for the first time in 2016.
