The coaches of the SEC have cast their votes projecting how they think the league teams will fare this year. Florida was picked as the probable champion for the 20th time since the poll was instituted in 1994. (Tennessee is the only other team the coaches have ever predicted will win the title: in 2010 and 2012.) The Lady Vols were picked last, the first time that has happened since 2002.

The coaches also made their picks for the Preseason All-SEC Team. Those players are: Krystal Rivers, Alabama; Chanell Clark-Bibbs, Arkansas; Rhamat Alhassan, Florida; Mackenzie Dagostino, Florida; Alex Holston, Florida; Morgan Bergren, Kentucky; Nakeyta Clair, Ole Miss; Carly Kan, Missouri; and Shelby Sullivan, Texas A&M.
