Mullins takes record in loss to Gators

Ellen Mullins is the all-time Tennessee career digs leader after the Lady Vols dropped a hard fought match to #7 Florida this afternoon (25-18, 25-21, 25-17). More tonight.

UPDATE: Ashley Mariani led the team in kills with 12. Jamie Lea had 7, hit .333, and had a block. Shealyn Kolosky had 6 kills and a block. Lexi Dempsey had 27 of the team’s 29 assists.

Mullins’ 11 digs put her one over Chloe Goldman’s career number of 1,755. In addition to moving past Goldman for the UT record, she also moves past her on the SEC list where she now stands in 5th place all time in the conference. Looking forward, with three matches to go Mullins could become the first Lady Vol to reach 1,800 digs. She needs just 33 more digs to tie Goldman’s single season mark of 628.
